Jonas Roothans

imaging engineer

Professional

In 2008 I started studying biomedical engineering at the Technical University in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. After I graduated from my master in image analysis I worked for a start-up company called ‘Sapiens’ that was later acquired by Medtronic. There I worked together with clinicians and software engineers to build an easy to use software platform for tuning DBS implants. In 2017 I came to Würzburg to support the ongoing research with image analysis.

Personal

I like to be creative and learn new skills. For example, I like to draw and paint portraits, play the piano, make my own clothes, experiment with new vegan recipes. But most of my free time I spend studying the environmental and economic dystopias and utopias looking for leverage points to make a positive impact on the future.
